A collection rich in history!
Disappeared in 1793 following the French Revolution, the treasury of Amiens Cathedral has been reconstituted over the years. Three types of items make up the treasure: relics of saints, liturgical crockery and, finally, a number of items of paraphernalia needed for religious services.
During a guided tour (30 min.), discover the history of the most emblematic relics in the collection:
- the head of Saint John the Baptist in its reconstructed 19th-century reliquary
- the 14th-century votive crown of the Paraclete , containing the relics of the Passion
- Saint-Firmin's hunt (13th century)
And so many other treasures!
