Information about the works

Amiens Cathedral, an architectural jewel and emblem of our cultural heritage, is preparing for a major stage of preservation and restoration.

Under the supervision of the Hauts-de-France Regional Department of Cultural Affairs, and more specifically the Regional Conservation of Historic Monuments for the Amiens site, work is underway to restore the waterproofing on the terrace of the north tower and to develop the visitor circuit.

The tour of the cathedral's towers will be temporarily unavailable as a result of the work scheduled from 26 February to 31 May 2024.

The works are being supervised by Mr Richard Duplat, Chief Architect of Historic Monuments, and are scheduled to last four months.
