Shapes & Contours
As part of the Printemps du Dessin (Springtime for Drawing) event , join the whole family for a graphic composition workshop on Saturday 29 April at Amiens Cathedral!
Invited by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, Eloïsa Pérez, graphic designer and typographer, is offering the"Formes & Contours" workshop for a creative and exploratory time for young people.
Equipped with normographs andposters to personalise, children are invited to discover the links between the alphabet and architecture as they follow a guided tour. Revisiting the emblematic shapes of the cathedral and its history at the same time, they experiment with the graphic potential of the monument. By constructing letters, combining colours and superimposing contours, they can create an abstract language worthy of a contemporary artist in no time at all!

This work benefits from partnerships with state nursery schools, through which the teaching tools developed are tested in educational workshops. The author of theoretical essays and articles, her research examines the role ofgraphic designin the transmission of knowledge, through the materiality of the teaching aids that accompany the practices.
