Booking arrangements

Are you planning a visit to Amiens cathedral?

We advise you to contact the service at least 2 months before the date you would like to visit. You will receive a reply within a maximum of 7 days.

All booking requests must be sent directly to the Amiens CathedralEducation Department at the following address edu.cathedrale@monuments-nationaux.fr and contain the following information:

  • 3 proposed dates and times
  • Name and address of the establishment or organisation
  • Specify whether the school is part of the priority education system(REP, REP+, CLIS, ULIS and SEGPA)
  • Surname, first name and telephone number of the person in charge of the booking
  • School level of the class concerned
  • Number of pupils and accompanying adults
  • Specify if any pupils are disabled
  • Specify if the payment is based on the Culture Pass

Booking slot

All group visits, whether self-guided or guided, must be booked in advance and will be subject to a specific price.

We consider a group to be 8 people or more, up to and including 35 accompanying adults.

Groups are welcome every day except weekends.

The following times are available

  • every morning from 10am to 12pm,
  • except on Tuesdays, when we can welcome you from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.

Visiting the towers

The towers can be visited in 30-minute slots for a maximum of 18 people (2 supervisors required).

A group of 35 people will have to make 2 successive ascents over a period of 1 hour.

Tour of the treasure

The treasure can be visited in 30-minute slots for up to 18 people (2 supervisors required).

A group of 35 people will have to make 2 successive visits lasting 1 hour.

Payment for service

In the case of several visits scheduled by the same establishment, a single payment will be accepted on the day of the1st visit.

Payment can be made :

  • in cash
  • by cheque
  • by credit card
  • using the Pass Culture (book in advance on the dedicated platform)

Group welcome

Arrival on site

Only the person in charge of the group is invited to go to the ticket office to pay.

The rest of the group must wait outside the site, at the bottom of the cathedral steps, until they are collected by the mediator.

Group cloakroom

No cloakroom is available for groups.If your bags are bulky, please leave them on your coach. No personal belongings will be kept in the shop.

Visit conditions

Accessibility

Only the treasury is accessible to people with reduced mobility; a chair is available on request for the duration of the visit.

Toilets

There are no toilets in the cathedral, but toilets are available at theAmiens Métropole Tourist Office, near the cathedral.

Picnics

Picnics are possible in the bishop's palace park, accessible via impasse Joron, but it is forbidden to eat inside the cathedral.

Parking

A drop-off point for buses is available in front of the Hôtel Mercure, at the bottom of rue André, and mini-buses can be parked in Place St Michel for smaller groups.
